Press release: Broward Co.'s sea turtle hatchlings at risk

Most Broward County municipalities -- including Pompano Beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Hallandale Beach -- have adopted local ordinances that require light management to protect baby sea turtles without sacrificing human safety; however, not everyone complies with these local ordinances, and the lights continue to take a heavy toll on the baby turtles - July 26, FWC
