Development actually helps burrowing owls, wildlife agency says

Wildlife experts in Florida say residential and commercial development have helped the population of the odd creature called the burrowing owl, the nine-inch protected bird that lives in the ground, hunts during the daytime, and is the subject of a major motion picture, "Hoot" - May 5, Bradenton Herald
