Environmental groups ask for more money

Florida environmental groups are asking the next governor and legislature for a lot more green -- specifically, they want $1 billion a year for conservation buys beginning in 2008, a dramatic boost in funding they say the state has to spend or risk losing much of its remaining open lands - Oct. 9, News-Press
