High-rise developer offers plan to settle with Collier Co. over bald eagle rules

A Detroit-based developer that wants to build a condominium and golf project sent Collier County a proposal Friday to settle a property rights claim stemming from county commissioners' rejection to loosen bald eagle protection rules in 2005; the developer filed a $285 million claim with Collier County - Aug. 14, Desoto Sun Herald
