Uncertainty at Navarre Beach State Park

Navarre Beach State Park may never have the amenities it originally offered because the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) no longer will pay to replace such facilities in areas protected by the federal Coastal Barrier Resource Act; an estimate from the state says restoring the hurricane-damaged park would cost more than $4.7 million, but only $4.4 million is available from state allocations for the park - Aug. 8, Pensacola News Journal
